I was born and raised in Mallorca (Spain) where I studied Biochemistry at the University of Balearic Islands. I then moved to Madrid to do my MSc with Dr. Margarita Salas at the Autonomous University of Madrid. Afterwards, I joined the lab of Dr. Juan Méndez at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO) where I did my PhD studies on the role of PrimPol primase in the tolerance and repair of DNA interstrand crosslinks. During that time I had the chance to join the Lopes lab at University of Zürich for a few months, where I now came back to do my postdoctoral studies on the organization of DNA replication upon replication stress. During my free time I like to play/produce music and go bouldering.
