I joined the Penengo Lab in June 2024 as a PostDoc working on the role of the phospho-Ubiquitin modification in genome stability. I obtained my MSc degree in the Netherlands at the University of Leiden. For one of my MSc internships, I spent 6 months at the Centre de recherche en cancérologie de Toulouse. My PhD I did in the group of Sylvie Noordermeer at the Leiden University Medical Center. During my PhD I worked on several projects, all focusing on BRCA1. For example, I investigated the importance of certain interactions with BRCA1, performed CRISPR screens with BRCA1-mutants and searched for synthetic lethal interactors of BRCA1. In my free time I enjoy hiking, running and I just started a pottery course.
