Born and raised in Ispra (Italy), I studied medical biotechnologies (BSc) at the University of Milan and Biomedicine (MSc) at the University of Zürich. I joined the group of Prof. Sartori in September 2019 to conduct my Master thesis focusing on FAN1, a DNA repair nuclease able to cleave aberrant DNA structures. My PhD project is a follow-up of my Master project, studying mutant forms of FAN1 potentially implicated in crosslink repair and eary age-of-onset of Huntington’s Disease.
