Having grown up in Switzerland, Belgium and France, I moved to the UK to study Biochemistry (BSc) at the University of Leeds, with an industrial placement year at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. I stayed in Leeds for a MSc by Research in Molecular and Cellular Biology, isolating and characterizing artificial binding proteins as tools to study Ras-mediated cancer signaling. In January 2021, I moved to Zurich to begin my PhD in the Sartori lab, focusing on FAN1, a nuclease involved in DNA damage repair.
