Since 1990, supervisor of almost 30 students (Gastroenterology fellows, Ph.D. students, Master students) at the Catholic University of Rome, University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), University of California (San Diego), and University of Zurich.

Identification of novel biomarkers of epithelial transformation in the large intestine (Systems biology studies based on transcriptomics, epigenomics, proteomics, and metabolomics)
